Work Type: Temporary, Part-Time (4 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour
Schedule:
- Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Additional Hours: Occasional overtime during school holidays
About the Role:
On behalf of The Arc in Westcliffe, Scunthorpe, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Worker to join their dynamic and innovative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 8 and upwards, working directly with them to inspire, encourage, and empower them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Westcliff Youth Mentor in delivering the weekly events and activities calendar.
- Engage with young people to understand and address their needs and aspirations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment to support personal growth and community involvement.
- Encourage participation in activities and build strong relationships with the youth.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working with young people aged 8 to 18.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm to contribute to various activities and programs.
Requirements:
- Must undertake an Enhanced DBS Check (required for this role).
- A keen interest in working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
