We are currently assisting a leading local business as they look to strengthen the team with a transport/traffic controller.
Based in Scunthorpe
Salary £21-24500K p.a.
Full Time (hours will include 6am-15pm or 10am-18pm and a Sat a.m. on a rota)
The role is responsible for the management and routing efficiency of the one trip fleet including roll-on, curtain sliders, artic and skip vehicles, and for delivering the highest level of customer service to meet the needs of our customer base
The role is designed to deliver maximum productivity for the vehicle fleet and provide the highest levels of customer attention in a highly competitive market place and dynamic and vibrant traffic office environment
Ensure all maintenance programmes are adhered to for all vehicles
Answering incoming calls and management of order taking
Allocation and management of work flow to drivers
Administration associated with all aspects of route reconciliation and ticket management
Management and control of driver defect process
Act as an ambassador for the business in terms of Health & Safety and compliance
The highest levels of service delivery across all internal and external customers
The management and improvement in efficiency and productivity
The full use of in cab and office based technology to ensure full service delivery and cost control
Management of driving workforce
Training development and motivation of all driving teams across area of responsibility
To route and efficiently delivery the services associated with the one trip fleet.
To work with the Customer Service team to ensure that capacity and service levels are fully communicated to customers and stakeholders
To continually review the cost base to ensure we are as competitive as possible within each operational area of responsibility
To ensure there is sufficient capability to support all duties in your absence for each part of your role with identified back up, training plans and holiday management
Support the day to day activities transport office
Work with the management team to develop and improve customer service procedures, policies and standards
The management of all administrative duties including route management, and compliance
The adherence to all admin procedures associated with the operating system
