Manufacturing Apprenticeship

We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Apprentices to work for our client in Scunthorpe.

 

These roles are offered as full time positions working Monday to Friday.

 

The rate of pay for these positions are £3.90 per hour (apprenticeship rate), and you will study a Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations.

 

The role will include, however is not limited to:

 

To carry out manufacturing operations to produce windows, doors and associated products.  Reporting to the production supervisor, you will help to support the achievement of production objectives.  

Use of various types of machinery to manufacture PVC windows, doors and / or other building products. Collecting from stock, measuring and cutting appropriate profile. Installing hardware to windows and doors. Helping to load / unload consignments, reporting any damages, errors or omissions. Meeting deadlines set by managers. Remaining focussed under pressure.

Being responsible for own health and safety at work, informing a manager or director of any perceived hazards. Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. Following expectations as described in the Company Handbook. Maintaining good housekeeping throughout the premises, including production areas.

Maintaining good housekeeping within your work area, keeping all areas of the business premises clean and tidy. Using and maintaining allocated equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions. Maintaining health and safety vigilance at all times, especially during production and construction activities.

 

Desirable skills include:

 

Good communication skills. Ability to use a range of hand and electric tools Experience using manufacturing machinery (training will be given). Ability to take accurate measurements and follow design drawings. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to remain focused under pressure. Adaptability to work unsupervised.
