Maintenance Electrician

We are helping a local manufacturing company as they recruit an experienced maintenance electrician to join their exisiting team.   

Electrical & Mechanical installation, maintenance & repairs, support, install & repair all manufacturing site processes. This is a shift based role 6.00am-2.00pm/2.00pm-10.00pm rotating Mon-Fri.

Permanent position

£30-34K p.a. plus shift allowance

KEY TASKS:

Conducting the maintenance schedules

Responsible for Safety & Integrity of Electrical systems.

Supporting the Installation & Development of new processes

Essential Machine maintenance duties.

Replacement, repair & manufacture of mechanical parts

Maintenance of Clutch & Drive Mechanisms

Maintenance of Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems

Maintain Filtration & Lubrication equipment

Essential Plant maintenance duties

Any other duties required to support the needs of the business

EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 yrs Electrical fitting & Machine maintenance experience in a related engineering environment.

ESSENTIAL:  IEE 17th Edition wiring regulations, Ability to interpret Electrical Wiring diagrams.

Beneficial would be an understanding of control gear, including but not limited to: Relays/contactors, Motor inverters, Solenoids, Switches and sensors, Temperature Controllers, Timers and Encoders.

Ability to communicate across disciplines.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Work well under pressure.

Ability to work to tight dead lines.

Comfortable with modern computer packages.
