Contract Manager

We are working closely with a leading local company as they look to strengthen the team with a Contract Manager.

Permanent Position

Based from Scunthorpe but will involve extensive travel

Car Allowance

£25-45K p.a.   

Role is based within a construction environment, experience with major floor construction projects would be helpful. SMSTS and relevant construction background at this level required.

OVERVIEW DESCRIPTION

Coordination and management of trade specific projects valuing circa £100k - £1m.

Maintaining a diligent and active knowledge of all projects, budgets and work program

Liaising with procurement department to manage logistics, stock and asset control as cost efficiently as possible to support consistency in achieving or improving gross margin.

Directing the collation of progress/finance information to present to the Commercial Director

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project commencement

Processing and coordinating set up of projects at pre-start/order stage

Supporting review of subcontract agreements

Liaison with client site team on a one-to-one basis both electronically and personally

Processing risk assessments and method statements

Attend Tender to Contract (T2C) handover

Cost management & recovery

Issuing weekly site diary/weekly program/weekly variations and downtime summary to client

Maintain internal weekly valuation position for P2V

Attend final account meetings where required

Monitor DRS completion from site and escalate if required

Attend weekly contract meeting

Liaise with project managers to update labour plan and control project resource allocation

Manage, record, process and issue supplier non-conformances

Attend site at regular intervals as stipulated by program needs and client requirements

Issue supplier verifications and agree rates/payment schedules

Monitor handover/completion certification and escalate if required

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure project files are closed off administratively upon completion

Any other duties as required
