Applications Specialist

We are assisting with the recruitment of an Applications Specialist. We are looking for someone with an overall awareness of software, business systems who is highly skilled in all aspects of ICT.

Permanent position

Based in Scunthorpe

Starting salary £26,000 rising to £29800 after probationary period

The ideal candidate will also have exemplary Customer Service experience and have the ability to perform well in a high-pressured environment showing excellent problem solving skills.

Extensive experience with 2nd/3rd line support role and highly skilled in SQL database management.

Responsibilities

·Provide support to monitor and develop business systems, assess health and performance.

·Create SQL scripts, audit and maintain SQL databases.

·Keep business systems operational responding to helpdesk enquiries and escalated incidents.

·Lead on systems upgrades, patching, development, testing and support.

·Develop roadmap for business systems and create SQL scheduled tasks.

·Manage large multi use SQL Server Database Systems, manipulating data and transitioning changes.

·Analyse and evaluate new products and make innovative recommendations.

·Communicating with stakeholdersm structured training, hold workshops and chair meetings.

·Attendance of annual conference events for systems update and collaboration with other housing associations.

Key Skills

• Competent with adminstering and querying MS SQL databases.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to plan, prioritise and complete complex workloads.
